Most charging networks are an assembly of other people's parts: someone's hardware, someone's software, someone's app, someone's servers. When a session fails, four companies point at each other. We built it so there's only one.

- The charging management system and OCPP server.
- The servers they run on, in South Africa, on our own storage.
- The driver app on iOS and Android.
- The billing engine.
- The host portal.
- The support layer in the app.
We are not a reseller, a white-label operator or a hardware distributor. We operate the chargers and we hold the relationship with the driver. Both, on purpose.
South Africa's grid can't support conventional fast charging where drivers stop, and the EV parc is growing anyway. The answer isn't to wait for the grid. It's to build a station that needs very little of it. That's the company.

SolarMD engineers and manufactures high-voltage lithium iron phosphate battery storage in South Africa. Every SAEV station is built around a SolarMD 272 kWh outdoor cabinet, and SolarMD is an investor in the business. We chose a partner who builds the hardest part of the station a few kilometres from where we commission it.
